We are always keen to hear from those who want to get involved hands on and as the organisation grows so does our number of voluntary opportunities.
All our roles can be adaptable to short and long term placements, and only require a couple of hours from you per week or per month, depending on the role.

We want to support you in developing new skills, having new experiences and gaining confidence. You can get involved in our work by assisting with planning/delivering groups or workshops, enhancing our social media presence, or supporting an outreach event.
Together we will make a bespoke plan for volunteering that you feel will help you grow! Please note this role is only available to those aged 12-25 years old.
Youth Steering Group Member
Have a say in how our youth service grows at Alternatives! In this role, you will work alongside other young people to creatively explore new ways in promoting and developing our service – this can be creating new resources for our youth clients, enhancing our youth friendly space or developing our social media presence – we are open to all ideas!
Please note this role is only available to those aged 12-25 years old.
Youth Support Worker
Can you see the needs of young people and are you passionate about supporting individuals to become their best selves and adapt to the challenges of life?
Do you feel passionately that individuals have the right to be heard and supported? Are you a good listener, qualified and experienced in working with young people, able to think and plan creatively?
Do you value teamwork and are you committed to a team approach?
If so, maybe you could be the new Youth Support Worker in our innovative and supportive team here in Dundee!
Hours: 12 hours per week, fixed term for 6 months (extension dependent on future funding)
Salary: £20,903 pro rata dependent on experience, plus pension contributions
