Perinatal group support for parents who need a safe place to talk
This project offers specialist perinatal group support for parents within our community who need a safe and welcoming place to talk. Our counsellors walk alongside families during pregnancy and early parenthood, including parents whose babies have spent time in neonatal intensive care.
This project is here for you if you’re pregnant, a new parent, or caring for a baby and need a safe place to talk.
We’re here to listen, to support you through whatever you’re carrying, and to help you feel less alone as you navigate this chapter of parenthood
‘NeoBuddies’ is a supportive group for parents whose baby has spent time in neonatal intensive care. It’s a gentle, welcoming space where you can meet other parents who truly understand what you’ve been through.
The group offers a chance to share experiences, listen, or simply be alongside others who “get it,” in a relaxed and supportive environment. NeoBuddies is facilitated by specialist perinatal counsellors and focuses on connection and understanding, at your own pace.
We meet on the last friday of every month in the Central Library, wellgate Centre, Dundee. Babies and toddlers are welcome.
Perinatal Wellbeing Group
Our group has been designed to provide an opportunity for parents who live in Dundee, to meet other parents and feel supported. Numbers are limited to ensure it feels like a safe space for everyone.
Staff will be there to welcome you, help with introductions and facilitate the group. We can provide signposting to other services and organisations. Young children, aged 2 and under, are welcome to attend.
Being a parent is tough and can, at times, feel isolating, overwhelming and impact our mood. These sessions are a chance to come together, catch your breath, and to help you to take care of your emotional wellbeing. We will adapt sessions to what feels most helpful to parents.
