At Alternatives we provide listening support that is person centred and confidential. This means that we are a safe space for you to talk through your concerns, we will not tell you what to do. We are there to support you in finding your own answers and a way forward that is right for you. Our service is free. Alternatives have face to face appointments available throughout the week, evening appointments can also be arranged.
Each one to one session lasts for around one hour. Some clients come for one or two sessions, others need support for longer. Clients are required to sign a support agreement. If you need to make a complaint there is a leaflet available in our counselling room and on the back of your copy of the support agreement.

As we are not an emergency support service we may not answer our phones or respond to texts/ emails straight away. However, we will get back to you as soon as someone is in the office. Our office hours are 9am to 5pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Feel free to discuss the dates and time of your appointment with your support worker as we may be able to see you in the evenings.
